Meet Your Instructor

Dr. Matt Bergman is a self-described "UDL evangelist" with a professional journey spans that across K-12 and higher education. Matt has excelled in roles as a middle and high school teacher, K-12 digital learning coach, adjunct professor, instructional designer, consultant, and professional development leader. His expertise has earned him recognition, including the 2015 PAECT Teacher of the Year and serving as a faculty member at Harvard University's UDL Institute. In addition, Dr. Bergman was awarded a 2024 Elizabethtown College Design Studio Fellowship, where he is studying how to apply the concepts of UDL and artificial intelligence to enhance student learning. 

Dr. Bergman currently serves as the Assessment and Curriculum Coordinator for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Elizabethtown College and as Principal Education Consultant at Novak Education.

What to Expect

  • Start off each module by watching a quick (1-5 minute) video introducing each module.
  • Dive deeper into the content through the course content. Review readings and resources - the key is to self-differentiate. Choose what works best for you and helps you better understand the content and engage with the lesson. Save and utilize the resources for use right away within your learning environment! 
  • Complete the self-assessment in each module. These are opportunities to deeply reflect on what you already know or have learned.
  • Upon course completion, receive your completion certificate for 3 continuing education hours. Come back and re-revie the materials and learnings any time (you have full access for one full year).

Do you accept POs?

Yes, if you would like to pay via PO, please email educataion@novakeducation.com to request an estimate or invoice. 

What happens after I register my team?

Once you have reviewed and approved the estimate (and have provided a PO if applicable), Novak Education will then supply you with instructions that you can share with your team so that they can get started right away! 

What happens after I register as an individual?

You will be able to begin the course right away! You can log in to the course portal at any time to engage with the course by signing in to NovakEducation.Thinkific.com.

Are you a CTLE approved sponsor?

Yes, we are a CTLE-approved sponsor! Once you complete the course, email this form with section 1 completed to education@novakeducation.com. Upon receipt and confirmation of course completion, you will receive a completed form for your records within 1-3 business days. 

Do you offer Washington Clock Hours?

Yes! We offer clock hours through a partnership with ESD 112. There is an additional standard fee of $3/credit that is paid directly through PDEnroller. More details on how to submit the course for clock hours can be found under the clock hours section of the course welcome module.
